Procrastination

I have a confession to make. I just sent away for Katie's birth certificate. She's almost two and a half years old.

I don't know why I've put this off for so long. I honestly intended to order the birth certificate within a few days of coming home from the hospital. But when we came home, I was still so sick, so I didn't want to deal with anything that wasn't absolutely urgent.

After that, there's never really been any urgency about ordering it. It's been in my "to do" pile on my desk for more than two years now, but there has always been something else that needed to be taken care of "right away" that took precedence.

So, now Katie is almost two and a half years old, and I still have no birth certificate for her. I'm thinking that I may need one if I decide to sign her up for preschool next year when she turns three. I will definitely need one for VPK (voluntary pre-kindergarten provided by the state) when she turns four.

Oh, well. At least it's finally taken care of.

Sometimes these things just sneak by, never getting done.

And AWESOME that you can order the birth certificate. I had to go to City Hall and request it and visit all kinds of offices, and fight for parking, etc. All with newborn twins. It would have been smart if I waited two years!

I did that with Gage. However I should have gotten it sooner because it is now going to take a century to get the state to fix their mistake. They put him as a GIRL!!

Still dont have Max's either come to think of it LOL!

I'm sure I could make a long list of important things that have yet to make it to the actual to-do list. If I could remember what they were! Checking my inbox would be a good start!

Well it's done now so you can relax!! It always feels great to get those kind of things taken care of so you don't have to worry about it anymore!

Potty training still going well??

Doesn't it feel great to cross things off your to do list? Especially those ones that have been sitting there forEVER?

And congrats on the potty training. We're a year further down the path and only JUST moved out of pull-ups for naps!

Thank you so much for stopping by on my SITS day on Thursday. I've really enjoyed reading all the comments and lovely things people had to say. It's taking me a bit to get around to read the blogs of everyone who commented, but I'm getting there! I hope you enjoyed your stay and that you come back to visit again soon!
