Our Christmas celebrating continued yesterday when we drove across the bay to visit with Phil's bio-dad. They usually don't do a very good job of picking gifts for our children, and then there was last year.
This year was much better though. They gave each of the older children $40 cash so they can spend it however they like, and they gave Katie an awesome little pink percussion set. The percussion set consisted of a drum with drumsticks, a tambourine, a set of maracas, and a harmonica. Katie was thrilled.
Today, we drove up to my mother and step-dad's house near Ocala. We didn't exchange any gifts there because we did that before Christmas so the girls could open them up on Christmas morning. We did, however, leave all three of the girls there.
With no girls in the house, I'm hoping to get a lot of cleaning and organizing done in the next couple of days. I need to conquer Katie's room, which shouldn't be too difficult, though it is impossible when she's around.
I'm also going to try to do something with Emily's room. That child is a total pack-rat. It's impossible to find anything in her room. I doubt she'll even miss anything that I get rid of since she can't find anything she's looking for anyway.

Good luck Honey!!
I start all that stuff myself tomorrow, starting with taking down the tree. Then organizing, then cleaning. Ugh, tired already, lol!
