Footprints

Sunday afternoon, Phil and I left the girls at home so we could go to Home Depot to buy some fence supplies so we can finally put up a fence on the side of our house that isn't fenced in. This is what we found when we came home.

Katie's toes and fingers are still red in spots.

So is my kitchen floor.

Um....how on earth did that happen???

While Sarah was in the bathroom, Emily was more interested in watching the TV than Katie, and Katie climbed up and got the red food coloring off the counter. She poured it all out on the floor, and then obviously stepped in it before attempting to run away when Sarah caught her. Sarah was already cleaning it up when we got home, but she waited to clean up the footprints last so that I could take a pic when I got home.

Ya know, if it was me coming in and finding that, I wouldn't have been happy but......since it happened to someone else.....it seems quite hysterical. Sorry. I guess I'm glad for you that she didn't make it to carpet or furniture???? That wouldn't be funny for anyone. Two year olds, we can't under estimate them :)

I know you don't think it, but those footprints are sort of cute!! She was literally caught red handed (or in this case, footed!).
