We've had a beautiful few days around these parts this week, and Katie and I have been taking advantage of the nice weather. Yesterday, after Katie woke up from her nap, we went outside to play in the front yard and wait for the big girls to come home from school.
Katie drew on the sidewalk with chalk, and when Sarah got home, she sat down and played, too.
Katie also had a blast running around and rolling in the grass and leaves.
This morning, Katie and I hung out in the backyard for a while. Katie ran around and played while I sat and read my book. Unfortunately, because I was trying to read, I neglected to bring my camera outside with us, so I didn't get any cute photos of her playing.
After a while, we decided to take a walk around the block. While on our walk, we stopped at our neighborhood park so Katie could play on the big playground equipment. She was so funny; instead of going up the stairs to get to the slides, she would climb up the tube slide and then slide down the big spiral slide.
After our stop at the park, we continued around the block on our way home. Even though Katie was complaining that she was "hungry in my belly," it didn't keep her from stopping and playing with the little flowers in the weeds along the sidewalk.
