Autumnal Decorating

It seems that about half of the blogs I read have had some sort of post about their Autumn/Halloween decorating. It's all quite pretty and crafty, and I'm sure that given enough time and money, I could come up with some decorations that would be somewhere in the same league. But alas, I have neither time nor money.

I also don't have any leftover decorations from years past, because I haven't decorated for Autumn/Halloween in YEARS (unless you count the year that Phil and the girls carved pumpkins that ended up rotting completely more than a week before Halloween).

So, while I was at JoAnn's tonight picking up some Mod Podge for another project I am working on, I decided to look through their selection of 60% off Halloween decorations. There were a couple of things that were cute and I might have gotten if money weren't so tight, but I just couldn't bring myself to get them.

I did get a couple of things, though, like this sign for my front door.

And this lovely carvable faux pumpkin that we may or may not carve.

You know, I almost forgot about the one Halloween decoration that we got a couple of years ago. Our pretty little black cat.

We never put her away, though.

I haven't decorated at all yet... I did manage to buy some pumpkins that the kids took some markers to... I only decorate for Christmas.. and not very well..

(I see you at Bad Mommy's all the time and figured I'd stop by!)

Very nice decorations. Let me know how the pumpkin goes if you end up carving it. Every year I think about getting one, yet every year I pass. Love the cat most of all. :)

Oh, and I haven't decorated jack shit either. I guess I should get on it. Halloween is next weekend!

We have a few of those pumpkins. I got them super cheap one year. I don't carve them though. They just make great decorations.

Awww your kitty IS pretty. The perfect Halloween decor. I don't have any Halloween decorations either. I just find little crafts in magazines and then fail miserably at recreating them.

I am definitely NOT very crafty. :)

Ya know, I was thinking I need to hit the clearance aisle on Saturday and buy a couple of those carvable pumpkins to put out on my step until Thanksgiving once the jack o'lanterns wilt. Thanks for reminding me!
