Space Invader

Does anybody else have this problem? Every time I sit down, Katie insists on sitting in my lap. Whenever I lay down, she has to lay down with me or on top of me. I have no "personal space" - it all belongs to Katie now.

I get so annoyed with it sometimes, but other times I stop and just appreciate it. I try to remember that it won't be long until she no longer wants to sit on my lap and cuddle with me. I know that from experience with Sarah and Emily.

Our little ones grow up way too fast. They may start out on our laps, but they soon become independent, and eventually they leave our homes. We must cherish the time we have with them while we can. Even if they seem to smother us sometimes!

Oh yea...Jillian does that to me all the time...and she's going to be 4 this month. If I am on the computer, she'll actually come and move the swivel chair so she can get on my lap....Trust me, I enjoy her, but there are times I cannot hold her....

The fun part is that when Jillian does it, Elizabeth feels she has to...So now I have a total of 80 lbs on my lap!! LOL!

My boys don't really do this anymore. I miss it!! I do remember enjoying it sometimes and other time feeling crazy about it.

Ah, the craziness of motherhood!

I'm here through SITS. Your girls are ADORABLE.

I try to enjoy it...knowing it won't be long & they will no longer want to snuggle & sit on my lap.
Thanks for sharing the bloggy love today on my big SITS day!

My 16 month old is starting to do this...that and follow me EVERYWHERE. If I go 5 feet ahead of her she just cries. I guess its that age. lol

Oh yeah, I'm right there with you, loving the snuggles but sometimes just being desperate not to have little ones hanging all over me. Thanks for the reminder to enjoy it!
