Fishy

Katie loves to visit the fish whenever we are in the pet section at Walmart. Since we went to Walmart today with my mother, Katie got to visit the fish there. And since Nana is crazy, she decided that Katie simply must have her very own fish. Nana also wanted to get Sarah and Emily each a fish, but since we were talking Betas, I put my foot down and said there was no way I was going to have three fish tanks in my house.

So, Katie is now the proud owner of a Beta fish named, what else, Fishy. Fishy is a lovely lavender and teal colored fish.



Fishy was hanging out near the surface of his bowl and not really moving around much when I took those photos of him, so I was a little bit worried that he wasn't feeling very well and might need to be replaced soon. He started getting a bit more active afterward, so he may not be as ill as I suspected.

Of course, that doesn't necessarily mean that he's going to make it through the night. If Bella has anything to say about it, he might end up someone's midnight snack. Dear Lord, if that happens, please do not let me be the one to find any sort of remains in the morning.
