You know how Sarah's been bugging me to let her dye her hair some unnatural color ever since her friend Jordan dyed her hair purple? Well...
I still won't let her do it. But, I did let her buy some clip-in colored hair pieces to wear in her hair. That's about as far as I'm willing to budge on this issue.
And look, Sarah was even nice enough to share one of her new hair pieces with Emily today.
And while the straight pink streak doesn't exactly blend well with Emily's curly hair, it does at least match her shirt.

I worked with kids for about 10 years and somewhere along the line, I learned about kool-aid dye. I don't know how you do it and I'm not sure how long it lasts, but it is fun for short term craziness. And, it stops the incessant asking.
Thatnks for visiting, Kate! Sarah learned about the Kool-Aid dye from some of her Girl Scout friends, but I won't even let her do that for fear that it might permanently stain her hair. Plus, her hair is getting so dark now, I don't think it would even show up very well.
LOVE IT!!!! I think anything that is temporary is fair game!!! That's why I had so many peircings.. and now I only have what's in my ears
If i were you i would let her do it coming from a teenager but only temporary. My mom never would let me dye my hair but one day she did and it was a bright red underneath and she loved it!!! And its not like when she gets older she isnt going to do it just cause you say no. Plus every teenager wants to experiment with there hair and i have clip ins and they just didnt work out for me. :\
Mandyy - this was a year ago now, and she hasn't asked to color her hair again. It was just a phase she was going through, and she quickly got over it.
