Hurricane Season

Happy Hurricane Season, everyone! Northerners like to claim that we Floridians don't actually have "seasons". But, in fact, we do. We have Hurricane Season and Not Hurricane Season. And today is the first day of Hurricane Season.

Arriving slightly early, was our transsexual Tropical Storm Arthur. What do I mean by "transsexual"? Well, in case you hadn't heard, Arthur was Alma a few days ago. That's right. I guess Alma wasn't happy in the Pacific Ocean, so she headed on over to Central America where she was diagnosed with Depression. Once she had her sex change, she began to get her strength back, and decided to become Arthur.

Of course, it seems that the sex change was not a cure for Depression, and now Arthur has been diagnosed, too. Sadly, this Depression will most likely prove fatal for Arthur in the new few days.

Anyhow, please remember that if you live anywhere in the general vicinity of the Gulf of Mexico or the Atlantic Ocean you need to get your hurricane survival kits ready now. You may not need them, but it's always better to be safe than sorry.

Thanks for the reminder. I need to make sure my kit is stocked with non-expired items still, and some fresh water and batteries. Othwerise we should be set!
