Except that it turned out to be not so easy. For some reason, the fax machine at LensCrafters wasn't working, so it couldn't receive the prescription. So, Sarah went ahead and picked out her glasses, and we had them take all of the measurements they would need so that when we went back with the hard copy of her prescription all they would need to do would be to enter it into their computer system and start on her glasses.
So, Sarah, Katie, and I all went back to LensCrafters today with her prescription that I picked up from Walmart last night. After about an hour and a half, they had Sarah's glasses ready for her. The frames she picked out are black and bright green. I tried to get her to go with the blue and brown ones, but she insisted on the first pair. Doesn't she look cute?

Very cute!
Love those lens....Perfect for her...
Hello, im Sophie. She looks pretty with them, but if shes getting strong lenses, nex time have to go for smaller frames, is better for nearsighted.
Thanks, Sophie. I've got the whole vision thing covered, though. In my pre-SAHM life, I worked for Optometrists in opticals, both on the medical side and in eyewear sales. I know all about how thick the lenses can get on the edges the higher her Rx goes. That's why she has the polycarb lenses. It's also why she wears her contact lenses 99.9% of the time.
