I had another rough day with Katie today. I was up all night last night coughing, so I had a very difficult time staying awake today. Katie's fevers were still coming back faster than she could take her ibuprofen doses, so we were quite miserable several times today.
Eventually, when Katie took her nap, I was able to catch up on my sleep a bit, and was able to function well enough to take Emily to her Girl Scout meeting this evening. When we returned home, it was a bit past when Katie could have her next dose of ibuprofen, and even though she hadn't had it yet, she was still in a good mood. I took her temperature, and it was only 100.3.
Yes, I know that 100.3 is still a decent fever, but it's not so high that it makes Katie miserable and whiny. This is such good news! Hopefully, she'll continue to improve tomorrow and we can start to get back to normal again. Whatever "normal" is anyway!

Hi Melodie - First let me say you have three beautiful daughters!!! I'm sorry Katie is sick. Everyone there is in my prayers. You as a momma, caring for her and her of course being the patient. And for everyone to not catch it! I just wanted to let you know I was praying for you in NC.
Oh yea, if you ever find out what that "normal" is..... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know!
xo,
Tina
I hope everyone is better soon!
It's tough when the little ones are sick. Then we get sleep deprived, and most likely sick and it's twice as hard. My boys are a year apart and I swear when they were small they were always sick at the same time-- arggg... I hope she's doing better by now:)
