My Little Joiner

Sarah has surprised me this school year by wanting to get even more involved at school. She just recently joined the Student Council, and today she is turning in her application for the National Junior Honor Society.

She was invited to join the NJHS at the end of sixth grade for the following year, but she didn't even tell me about it because she "didn't know what it was." When I told her what it was, she decided that she wanted to join. She went to the sponsor and asked for an application. I'm pretty sure she'll get in since she gets good grades, wrote a nice essay, and had great letters of reference from one of her teachers and one of her Girl Scout leaders. Please send positive thoughts to help her out anyway, though.
