Happy Mothers Day

It's 4:30 in the afternoon, and I'm still in my pajamas. Yep, it's been a pretty good day so far. While I didn't get any expensive gifts, I did get to stay in bed for as long as I wanted to and read or sleep. I'm thinking of going back to bed to read for a while until my dinner is ready for me.

The book I am reading, Escape by Carolyn Jessop, is a wonderful Mothers Day read. It is about a woman who was brought up in a polygamous culture and about how she finally escapes with her children. Throughout her horrible marriage, her only thoughts were of her children and how to protect them. She decides to take her children and flee the FLDS so that they can have a chance at living happy lives.

Sounds like a perfect day....My husband and I were just talking and he was saying that everything from today was the work of the girls and his son...That makes it very special....

I have to be honest, I would love to stay in my PJ's, but given the opportunity, I still feel the need to get dressed....One day, I hope to relax a bit more...Why am I so anal with myself and then have the "wish I did that" attitude when I hear something so good like what you had...Hmmm! I think maybe that is why I get uptight so easily....Thanks for reminding me to slow down and enjoy!!! Happy Mother's Day!

Your day sounds divine! Don asked me if I wanted to sleep in but we go to 8:30 mass --- that wasn't going to happen. I wouldn't mind having a Mother's Day on a Saturday though & taking advantage of that! Good for you - plus getting to read something that doesn't rhyme or have talking animals in it too!
Want some bacon? LOL - I've been laughing about that all day!
